{"id":54001,"date":"2020-06-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-22T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/the-new-update-of-davinci-resolve-16-2-3\/"},"modified":"2025-05-02T22:05:49","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T20:05:49","slug":"the-new-update-of-davinci-resolve-16-2-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/en\/the-new-update-of-davinci-resolve-16-2-3\/","title":{"rendered":"The new update of DaVinci Resolve 16.2.3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Nuevo-proyecto.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-22644\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Nuevo-proyecto.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Blackmagic<\/strong> has already released the <strong>new DaVinci Resolve update<\/strong>, <strong>version 16.2.3<\/strong>, which as a great novelty, in addition to <strong>fixing some bugs<\/strong>, includes the <strong>decoding of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.709mediaroom.com\/22333-2\/\">Canon R5<\/a> files<\/strong> using <strong>Apple Metal<\/strong>. Although the Canon R5 is not yet on the market, it seems that Blackmagic has been working hard to provide service to future users who will work with it. Not only the Canon R5 benefits from this update, the Canon <strong>EOS-1D X Mark III, RED Komodo and ARRIRAW<\/strong> also have increased <strong>support<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p>Another big new feature in <strong>DaVinci Resolve 16.2.3<\/strong> has to do with <strong>Dolby Vision<\/strong> is support for <strong>Dolby Vision CM<\/strong> <strong>version 4.1.<\/strong> If you are working with version 4 it allows you to <strong>export Dolby Vision XML<\/strong> for the previous <strong>2.9<\/strong> version and generate another 2.9 version of the same project. <\/p>\n<p>The <strong>ACES<\/strong> workflow has also been updated with <strong>improved rendering<\/strong> of <strong>ARRI mxf<\/strong> files <strong>in ACES<\/strong>, improving <strong>IDT<\/strong> and <strong>color management<\/strong> for more accurate results. With respect to <strong>ARRIRAW<\/strong>, Blackmagic has also <strong>improved the playback performance<\/strong> of ARRIRAW clips for smoother workflows. <\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Fairlight<\/strong> page has also undergone some improvements that fix bugs from the previous version.
