{"id":54005,"date":"2020-06-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-23T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/the-new-tokina-atx-i-11-20mm-for-canon-and-nikon\/"},"modified":"2025-05-02T22:05:55","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T20:05:55","slug":"the-new-tokina-atx-i-11-20mm-for-canon-and-nikon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/en\/the-new-tokina-atx-i-11-20mm-for-canon-and-nikon\/","title":{"rendered":"The new Tokina atx-i 11-20mm for Canon and Nikon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/tokina-e1593007098869.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-22657\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/tokina-e1593007098869.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tokina<\/strong> has introduced its new lens <a href=\"https:\/\/tokinalens.com\/product\/atx_i_11_20mm_f2_8_cf\/\"><strong>atx-i 11-20mm<\/strong><\/a> lens for <strong>Canon and Nikon APS-C<\/strong> <strong>DSLR<\/strong> cameras <strong>.<\/strong> This lens is intended for both video and still photography with an added value for users, the interaction between photographer and lens.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that the future Tokina atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF will become the <strong>first lens<\/strong> for <strong>APS-C mount<\/strong> DSLR cameras <strong>with ultra wide-angle zoom<\/strong> and f 2.8 aperture on the market. With respect to the <strong>f 2.8 aperture<\/strong>, Tokina has managed to maintain this aperture throughout the entire length of the lens without losing brightness, making it easier to maintain depth of field. This is also an advantage when working in <strong>low light conditions<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p>The lens is constructed in such a way as to <strong>minimize image distortion<\/strong> being a wide-angle and <strong>spherical aberration<\/strong>. This is due to the presence of <strong>3 aspherical glass elements<\/strong> and <strong>3 super low dispersion glass elements<\/strong>, resulting in high optical performance. At any distance, <strong>edge-to-edge contrast and resolution<\/strong> are also maintained. Reduction of reflections and ghosting is achieved by the coating of several <strong>anti-reflective<\/strong> layers.   <\/p>\n<p>As for focusing, Tokina has included a <strong>silent SD-M focusing motor<\/strong> and a <strong>GMR<\/strong> sensor that make <strong>autofocusing accurate and fast<\/strong>. For switching between the 2 focus types, manual and auto, a button has been incorporated for quick access to either of the 2 focus modes.
