{"id":54324,"date":"2020-01-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-26T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/mtfs-new-pl-mount-for-pl\/"},"modified":"2025-05-03T16:48:51","modified_gmt":"2025-05-03T14:48:51","slug":"mtfs-new-pl-mount-for-pl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/en\/mtfs-new-pl-mount-for-pl\/","title":{"rendered":"MTF&#8217;s new PL mount for PL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/MONTURA_MTF-e1580163422227.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21876\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/MONTURA_MTF-e1580163422227.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"449\" height=\"253\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>MTF<\/strong> launches its new accessory for cameras, the <strong>PL mount converter<\/strong>.with the birth of cameras with <strong>L mount<\/strong>, MTF has decided to bet on this mount and launch a converter dedicated to this model.<\/p>\n<p>In the last year we have witnessed how the main brands in the market launched their latest <strong>camera models<\/strong>, each one with its own specifications and in different categories, but often each one with a <strong>different<\/strong> type of <strong>mount<\/strong>. Optics, on the other hand, have a more difficult time adapting their models to the different types of camera mount, and this is where <strong>MTF<\/strong> comes into play. Thinking of optics of a very high quality and perhaps designed for cinema, these optics have <strong>PL mount<\/strong>, so they are <strong>incompatible with cameras such as the Panasonic S1H<\/strong>. Although similar, they are different markets, since it is likely that whoever has a Panasonic S1H does not have the Fujinon MK 18-55. <strong>MTF<\/strong> has announced their two <strong>new products<\/strong> that allow L mounts to have a <strong>PL converter<\/strong> and a special <strong>L-mount<\/strong> option for the <strong>Fujinon MK 18-55<\/strong> lens.   <\/p>\n<p>The PL adapter includes an <strong>aluminum cover<\/strong>, with an <strong>Arca Swiss mount <\/strong>and <strong>wedges<\/strong>. They must be stiff and strong adapters for a camera as relatively small as the Panasonic S1H to be able to support the weight of lenses like the Fujinon.
