Sony ZG9<\/h4>\n

This time Sony<\/a> presents its new ZG9 Master Series TV<\/strong>. This is the company’s new top display, and it is packed with features that are designed to take full advantage of the highest pixel density available. <\/p>\n

AI<\/strong>
\nSuch features include AI-based scaling enhancement and noise reduction, which references a database of textures and objects to help get the desired result from a new calibrated LED<\/strong> beam design, which ensures that light is focused more sharply to avoid blooming. The new set also includes what Sony calls “object-based HDR remastering,” where each object on the screen is individually analyzed and adjusted. The 14-bit “HDR super bit allocation<\/strong>” is another feature that ensures subtle tones and gradations are reproduced without banding. All this is done using the company’s new X1 Ultimate processor. <\/p>\n

Sony claims that the set also solves other problems, such as allowing the set to be viewed from any angle without any change in brightness or color. It also sees the return of the master backlight unit, which was omitted from the previous Z9F, much to some people’s dismay. The set is fully Netflix-approved<\/strong> and features a one-touch Netflix button, along with Netflix Calibrated Mode, which aims to bring Netflix’s master studio quality to your home. Finally, the TV is equipped with Dolby Vision Atmos.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

But the amazing thing about all this is not so much the end result as the amount of processing going on here, in real time, up to 60 fps,<\/strong> possibly above, on an image consisting of about 33 million pixels each.<\/p>\n
