This project is organized once a month by<a href=\"https:\/\/cimamujerescineastas.es\/\">CIMA<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinetecamadrid.com\/\">CINETECA<\/a>. An event in which fragments of their work will be screened and then they will talk about their experience and their vision of photography in film, television and advertising.  <\/p>\n<p>It will take place next  <strong>May 30, at 9:00 p.m. in the Sala Borau of Cineteca. Matadero Madrid  <\/strong>  with the aim of making their work known to the media, audiovisual professionals and the general public.<\/p>\n<p>CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media) has already published that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>only 2% of the films produced in 2016 had a female director of photography on their crews.<\/li>\n<li>In Spain, only one woman has competed for the Goya for Best Cinematography, Cristina Trenas, for &#8216;New York Shadows&#8217; (2013).<\/li>\n<li>This year, for the first time in 89 years of history, a cinematographer has been nominated for an Oscar: Rachel Morrison, for &#8216;Mudbound&#8217;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The screening and discussion will be followed by a networking session to encourage contact between professionals.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Directors of photography<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A variety of women will participate in this meeting, from working behind the camera for more than a decade to others who have recently started their careers with great results.<\/p>\n<p>Among those present were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raquelfernandeznunez.com\/\"><strong>Raquel Fernandez<\/strong><\/a>whose work has been named by Variety as &#8220;positively magical&#8221;. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm2224341\/?ref_=nv_sr_1\"><strong>Pilar S\u00e1nchez<\/strong><\/a>, responsible for the cinematography of &#8216;Carmen y Lola&#8217;, feature film selected in 2018 at La Quincena de los Realizadores de Cannes; or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.juanajimenez.es\/\"><strong>Juana Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong><\/a> a photographer in demand in the field of advertising.<\/p>\n<p>They will be joined by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1426169\/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1\">Almudena S\u00e1nchez<\/a>, Isabel Ruiz, Daniela Caj\u00edas, Rita Noriega, Tania Fonseca, Elisa Moreno, Elizabeth Prandi, Violeta D&#8217;Agatta, Cristina Rodr\u00edguez, Laura Sip\u00e1n, Eva D\u00edaz and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irenegarmtz.com\/cinematography\">Irene Garmtz<\/a>, <\/strong>all of them outstanding professionals recognized for their work.<\/p>\n<p>In a society like the one we live in, where women find it difficult to access prestigious positions, cinematography does not lag behind: only 2% of the films produced in 2016 have been in the hands of women.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is free until full capacity is reached, and according to what we have been told, there are very few tickets left.
