In addition, thanks to this tool it is possible to preview the media before taking it to a project. <\/p>\n<p>Version 8.6 adds native support for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.panasonic.com\/es\/\">Panasonic&#8217;<\/a>s AVC-LongG codec, allowing you to link and consolidate this file type. For this, it is necessary to install the latest <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avid.com\/plugins\/ama-plugins\">Panasonic Plugin<\/a>. The codecs and formats included are:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AVC Long-GOP G12<\/li>\n<li>AVC Long-GOP G25<\/li>\n<li>AVC Long-GOP G50<\/li>\n<li>720p\/50<\/li>\n<li>720p\/59.94<\/li>\n<li>1080i\/50<\/li>\n<li>1080i\/59.94<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are now more ways to make selections in the <em>Timeline<\/em>, e.g. based on the color of the clips, finding all clips that are offline, or using the blue playback bar as a reference to mark all clips to the left or right of it. These extended selection possibilities can be combined with another new feature, which allows you to generate a sequence based on the <em>Timeline<\/em> selection. <\/p>\n<p>As for the export options, a check box called &#8220;<em>Enable Mask Margins<\/em>&#8221; has been added to be able to &#8220;burn&#8221; the margins on the image. The same can be done in the <em>AMA File Export<\/em> tool. <\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/mediacomposer_1-e1406878948273.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10716\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/mediacomposer_1-e1406878948273.png\" alt=\"mediacomposer_1\" width=\"226\" height=\"221\"><\/a><\/h4>\n<h4>New audio features<\/h4>\n<p>For audio, a new feature called <em>Audio Ducking<\/em> has been created, which allows you to quickly generate an audio mix and automatically reduce the volume of one or more tracks.<\/p>\n<p>Also regarding sound, now when an audio track is renamed in the <em>Track Selector Panel,<\/em> this name together with the <em>Track ID<\/em> appears in the <em>Audio Mixer<\/em> tool.<\/p>\n<p>Other new features for sound work include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stack sound effects<em>(AudioSuite<\/em>) to manipulate them individually or as a track segment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Group audio tracks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Default Pan<\/em>: keeps the channel configuration even if the sequence is moved to another workstation that has different settings for &#8220;<em>Default Pan<\/em>&#8220;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>SMPTE channel order: previously they were only in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avid.com\/es\/pro-tools\">Pro Tools<\/a> order, but now it is possible to select one and the other, SMPTE being the default.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>More general news<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Enabled Mac OS v10.11.5 operating system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved RED plugin performance <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avid.com\/plugins\/ama-plugins\">(v1.16.5)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <em>Timecode Generator<\/em> allows you to add comments to the clip to appear during playback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Updates for Artist DNxIO: subtitle capture, DNxHR HQX and 444 capture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"epyt-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\"  id=\"_ytid_16978\"  width=\"1020\" height=\"574\"  data-origwidth=\"1020\" data-origheight=\"574\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XClpKMZb9Tk?enablejsapi=1&#038;autoplay=0&#038;cc_load_policy=0&#038;cc_lang_pref=&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;loop=0&#038;rel=0&#038;fs=1&#038;playsinline=0&#038;autohide=2&#038;theme=dark&#038;color=red&#038;controls=1&#038;disablekb=0&#038;\" class=\"__youtube_prefs__  epyt-is-override  no-lazyload\" title=\"YouTube player\"  allow=\"fullscreen; accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen data-no-lazy=\"1\" data-skipgform_ajax_framebjll=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/resources.avid.com\/SupportFiles\/attach\/WhatsNew_MediaComposer_v8.6.pdf\">Here is a link<\/a> with all the news detailed in greater detail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday came out the news of a new version for the Media Composer editing system, which renews its ingest method and comes with many improvements for audio work.
