This is a free update of the rendering engine that includes nine new features and improvements in GPU work. <\/p>\n<p>In order to facilitate the rendering of sequences that included many lights, the Chaos Group development team has generated a new &#8220;Adaptive Lights&#8221; algorithm that considerably speeds up rendering times in this type of situation, which can be up to 7 times faster.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/VRay-3_0-for-3ds-Max-Preview-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16293\" src=\"https:\/\/www.709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/VRay-3_0-for-3ds-Max-Preview-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"405\" height=\"213\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The new products are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interactive production performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Glossy fresnel&#8221;: new reflection model that adds more realism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Render resumable: ability to pause and continue a render at any point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Live VR rendering: render directly to Oculus Rift or HTC Vive with GPU acceleration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>V-Ray Scene&#8221; node: to import and render complete scene files generated in any V-Ray application, including their geometry, lights, materials and textures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Interactive lens effects: GPU-accelerated glare and bloom effects that can be activated and adjusted while rendering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>alSurface&#8221; material: shader created by Anders Langlands that includes integrated SSS controls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>MDL materials: NVIDIA&#8217;s format is now supported by V-Ray, allowing you to apply MDL materials created in programs such as Substance Designer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here is a webinar that the company has posted for free that explains in detail the new features of version 3.5:<\/p>\n<div class=\"epyt-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\"  id=\"_ytid_20814\"  width=\"1020\" height=\"574\"  data-origwidth=\"1020\" data-origheight=\"574\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6Qtm02uY6iE?enablejsapi=1&#038;autoplay=0&#038;cc_load_policy=0&#038;cc_lang_pref=&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;loop=0&#038;rel=0&#038;fs=1&#038;playsinline=0&#038;autohide=2&#038;theme=dark&#038;color=red&#038;controls=1&#038;disablekb=0&#038;\" class=\"__youtube_prefs__  epyt-is-override  no-lazyload\" title=\"YouTube player\"  allow=\"fullscreen; accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen data-no-lazy=\"1\" data-skipgform_ajax_framebjll=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chaos Group has released version 3.5 of V-Ray for 3ds Max software.
