Apple<\/a> introduced the latest generation of its Mac Pro<\/a> workstations in 2013, generating a lot of controversy among its consumers due to the big change in design with respect to the previous towers. Now, four years later we see that no major new features have been added to improve its capabilities. <\/p>\n

They have stated that they are putting all their efforts into changing this, but unfortunately we won’t be able to see it until next year. The company is completely redesigning their machines, with professional users in mind, but without focusing specifically on any “user prototype”. By this they mean that professional customers range from video editors, graphic designers, music creators, software programmers, to engineers, scientists or architects. <\/p>\n

They have realized that the Mac Pro did not sit well with some of their users, especially those who needed higher performance in graphics processing and CPU. As a result, they are considering a change in the GPU and thermal core architecture, due to the fact that its triangular design is not intended to support high loads on one side and is a limiting factor. <\/p>\n

Another novelty that will come with the next design is the introduction of a modular system, which will include a screen. At the moment we only know that it will not be a Surface Studio (Microsoft) type touch screen. <\/p>\n

And while we wait for these changes to arrive next year, Apple has released new configurations as interim updates:<\/p>\n
