Since the beginning of this month FilmLight<\/a> is offering its users and post houses Baselight PLUS<\/strong>, a new option that aims to optimize the color correction workflow.<\/p>\n

Baselight PLUS is presented as a complete package whose heart would be Baselight<\/a>‘s own software, capable of real-time 4K image color correction and equipped with the high-performance creative tools that have made it one of the world’s favorite systems.<\/p>\n

The software is coupled with the high-performance Supermicro tower, which features 24TB of internal RAID storage and 2TB of SSD for fast non-linear access.<\/p>\n

Operation will be via the Slate<\/a> controller, a version of the Blackboard 2<\/a> in a more compact form factor. It provides the same adaptive buttons, screen display and responsive trackball system as the full controller. <\/p>\n

Also included are two licenses of Baselight Editions<\/a>, the color correction plugins that allow you to work within Avid<\/a> (on Mac and PC) or Final Cut Pro<\/a> editing systems. Thanks to them you can go back and forth from a complete Baselight system, without the need to render to export the color metadata to the editor and being able to make final adjustments here or return them non-destructively to the color room. <\/p>\n

Baselight Editions support all the functionalities of the complete system, including advanced techniques for shape creation, tracking and secondary corrections. To ensure confidence in the display monitor, Truelight<\/a> calibration and management software is included. <\/p>\n

The complete package is priced at $65,000. Also included is the latest Baselight 4.4 upgrade, installation (if required), and one year of both software and hardware support. More information is available at this link<\/a>. <\/p>\n
