{"id":56972,"date":"2013-01-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-01-20T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/davinci-resolve-9-1\/"},"modified":"2025-05-05T13:02:41","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T11:02:41","slug":"davinci-resolve-9-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/en\/davinci-resolve-9-1\/","title":{"rendered":"DaVinci Resolve 9.1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackmagicdesign.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blackmagic Design<\/a> announced on Friday the release of DaVinci Resolve 9.1, a new update to its world-renowned color correction system.<\/p>\n<p>It seems that the most talked-about new feature is the support for Retina displays in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/es\/macbook-pro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple MacBook Pro<\/a> laptops, which will allow users to take advantage of the maximum resolution offered by these displays.<\/p>\n<p>The new DaVinci Resolve has also added support for improved performance and more efficient workflows. For example, there is now support for <a href=\"http:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/VI290\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Final Cut Pro X Auditions<\/a> XML, a Final Cut Pro X Auditions feature that lets you stack and scroll through multiple shots in a single timeline location. In addition, XML integration has been improved for working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/es\/finalcutpro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Final Cut Pro X<\/a> and 7 projects.  <\/p>\n<p>These improvements will not only affect XML, but also AAF (where it is now possible to generate a new one for MXF audio renders), and Sony XAVC and AVC-Intra files.<\/p>\n<p>And speaking of files, this update features a new function called &#8220;CinemaDNG Input Device Transform (IDT)&#8221;, for correcting RAW images with the CinemaDNG format (used by cameras such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackmagicdesign.com\/products\/blackmagiccinemacamera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blackmagic Cinema Camera<\/a>) in ACES workflows.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/?attachment_id=5962\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5962\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5962\" alt=\"resolve_media\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/resolve_media.jpg\" width=\"402\" height=\"226\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Support has been added to enhance or enable playback with files such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sony.es\/pro\/product\/35mmdigitalmotionpicturecamerascamcorders\/pmw-f5\/specifications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sony F5<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sony.es\/pro\/product\/35mmdigitalmotionpicturecamerascamcorders\/pmw-f55\/specifications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">F55<\/a> raw; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.red.com\/store\/products\/epic-x-monochrome-brain-only\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red Mysterium-X Monochrome<\/a> sensor (software decode only); DNxHD 100 files (render support has also been added); and NTSC DV in 4&#215;3 or 16&#215;9 aspect ratios.<\/p>\n<p>DaVinci Resolve 9.1 can now also be used with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackmagicdesign.com\/products\/decklink4kextreme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeckLink 4K Extreme<\/a>, Blackmagic Design&#8217;s latest addition to the DeckLiknk family of PCI Express capture cards. DeckLink 4K Extreme includes all the features of the popular <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackmagicdesign.com\/products\/decklink4kextreme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeckLink HD Extreme 3D<\/a>, plus UltraHD 4K playback, four times the resolution of 1080HD video. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/?attachment_id=5964\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5964\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5964\" alt=\"DeckLinkExtreme4KAngle\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DeckLinkExtreme4KAngle.jpg\" width=\"314\" height=\"309\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A minor update has been included in the database, so it is recommended to make backup copies of the dB project before downloading this version.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, there are other new features such as: specification of frames or seconds in audio rendering; possibility to disable <a href=\"http:\/\/www.red.com\/products\/red-rocket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red Rocket<\/a> from the preferences; matte clips can be assigned to multiple clips in the Media Pool; and improved processing times for Sony CineAlta SStP files.<\/p>\n<p>According to some of the early feedback on this new version, it appears to be more stable, with smoother playback and much faster auto-saves.<\/p>\n<p>DaVinci Resolve 9.1 is available for free for Mac, Windows and Linux (in the full version) via the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackmagicdesign.com\/support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blackmagic Design<\/a> website.
