Marquis Broadcast<\/a>, developer of software for media integration and content workflows, has just announced the release of Project Parking version 3 during BVE 2013<\/a>, which will take place February 26-28 in London.<\/p>\n

Project Parking is Windows-based software designed to help editors and post houses using the Avid Media Composer<\/a> family of systems, including Media Composer<\/a>, Symphony<\/a> and NewsCutter<\/a>, manage content and storage.<\/p>\n

Through its “Archive” and “Restore” applications, it allows you to analyze all projects and the average from the place where they are stored, being able to make selections by size, project, location, date, duplicates or even orphan files (which are not linked to any project).<\/p>\n

We can then perform various operations, such as saving files to a second storage tier (hard disk, USB, NAS, SAN, the “cloud”), deleting unused media, moving them from one location to another or taking snapshots of project versions.<\/p>\n

\"ProjectParking\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Thanks to Project Parking it is possible to analyze, manage, classify and retrieve projects in a more efficient way and also to free up space in the storage system in a consistent way. In this version 3, a new function has been included that allows you to include or exclude individual bins (or folders containing bins) in order to move the media to another location. Restoration also works in this way, and can be performed with entire projects or only with the bins needed for a re-edit. <\/p>\n
