{"id":57023,"date":"2013-02-20T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-02-19T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/universidad-politecnica-de-madrid-bets-on-mistika\/"},"modified":"2025-05-05T13:03:52","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T11:03:52","slug":"universidad-politecnica-de-madrid-bets-on-mistika","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/en\/universidad-politecnica-de-madrid-bets-on-mistika\/","title":{"rendered":"Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid bets on Mistika"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upm.es\/institucional\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polytechnic University of Madrid<\/a> (UPM) has decided to use the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sgo.es\/mistika-post\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mistika<\/a> system for its research and creation of stereoscopic content.<\/p>\n<p>Mistika is a system developed by the Spanish company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sgo.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SGO<\/a>, for DI and 3D stereo work, which is having a great impact and expansion worldwide in the industry.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gti.ssr.upm.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Image Processing Group<\/a> (dedicated to research on theory, methods and applications of digital image processing) has a Dem-3DTV (Three-Dimensional Television Demonstrator) for research, development and testing of equipment for the processing of audiovisual content that offers depth perception.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6264\" alt=\"3D Video Subjective Quality Test for International Project Jedi at the Dem-3DTV (800x600)\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/3D-Video-Subjective-Quality-Test-for-International-Project-Jedi-at-the-Dem-3DTV-800x600-6.jpg\" width=\"353\" height=\"265\"><\/p>\n<p>In this same context, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.minetur.gob.es\/es-ES\/Paginas\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism<\/a> has created a Center for Production and Experimentation of digital content through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.red.es\/redes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red.es<\/a> and the UPM. Now, in addition to the Mistika 2K post-production system, the Image Processing Group has added <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sgo.es\/mistika-live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mistika Live<\/a>, an application of the system for filming. <\/p>\n<p>In this way, they intend the center to become a generator of stereoscopic content for universities, research centers, standardization organizations and audiovisual companies that need it.<\/p>\n<p>Mistika software will be used for editing, compositing, color correction and finishing of the s3D content captured in the Demonstrator, generated using 2K cameras mounted on a rig, or compact Full HD cameras with dual optics.<\/p>\n<p>Another objective is to train students and professionals interested in the study of problems in the generation and post-production of a stereoscopic signal, in a more experimental and complete way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6265\" alt=\"3D Video Subjective Quality Test for MPEG at the Dem-3DTV (800x450)\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/3D-Video-Subjective-Quality-Test-for-MPEG-at-the-Dem-3DTV-800x450-6.jpg\" width=\"392\" height=\"221\"><\/p>\n<p>In 709 Media Room we have several courses for training in the Mistika system.
