We announce a new call for our audiovisual makeup course for directors of photography.<\/p>\n

Lighting contributes greatly to the final success of the audiovisual work. It helps to highlight certain features of the subject and the scene. Establishing a good and precise communication between the photography and makeup\/characterization departments facilitates this final success, marking the fundamental characteristics of lighting and its influence on the characterization and makeup processes. <\/p>\n

When working in a cooperative team where everyone takes into account the goals and difficulties of others, problems are somewhat reduced. The results depend not only on each one knowing his own work but also understanding the work of the others. Thus, each technician in the team will be focused on his own particular task and not on the search for some information in order to at least “save his job”. <\/p>\n

In this makeup course we will analyze the processes that have a primary relationship with the director of photography. The relationship between makeup and the light of the set to help the style of the audiovisual work, the color given from the lighting and makeup, the types of makeup according to the skins of the actors and according to the format to be used (35mm, HD, etc)…in short define the grammar that articulates the art of makeup to allow the directors of photography to relate this area with their light and to be able to communicate better with this department. <\/p>\n

TEACHER<\/strong>: Ana Ribacoba<\/p>\n

Professional with more than 20 years of experience in the makeup department. He is responsible for the makeup of feature films such as “Te doy mis ojos”, “Leo”, or “La noche del hermano”, among others. In television she has worked in series such as “Hospital Central” or “El lugar del crimen” and has been in charge of characterization and other programs. He has also made commercials for brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsung, Canon and many others. <\/p>\n

EQUIPMENT USED: <\/strong>The teacher will perform several examples of make-up on models using different materials and lighting schemes. She will also illustrate examples of other processes. <\/p>\n

AIMED AT<\/strong>: Directors of photography, camera operators, illuminators, gaffers, colorists, directors, directors, fillmakers, and any professional interested in the relationship between makeup and light.<\/p>\n
