Both systems share features such as multi-channel and nodal workflows, but they also have some differences: the 3D work done by NukeX is more advanced (e.g. tracking and particle support); Nuke does not have the noise reduction and support of Pixar&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/renderman.pixar.com\/products\/whats_renderman\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RenderMan<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/PSD-.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2707\" title=\"PSD\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/PSD-.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"151\"><\/a>In this version the reading of PSD with Photoshop layers has been improved, with the possibility of reaching up to 16 bits. It has an automatic layer detection system and performs node reconversion through embedded metadata. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/OpenIO.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2708 alignright\" title=\"OpenIO\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/OpenIO.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"151\"><\/a>Also included is a new form of color management through OpenColorIO, which allows color to be managed in a more consistent way to ensure that it is uniform across all visual effects and animations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/UDIM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2711\" title=\"UDIM\" src=\"http:\/\/709mediaroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/UDIM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"151\"><\/a>Another new feature is the UDIM functionality, which allows you to import a set of textures (which follow the UDIM numbering scheme) and quickly apply them to the surface of a 3D object.
