Autodesk<\/a> has announced today the changes that will be in its new version of Smoke. Possibly the news that has caused more impression is the incredible reduction in price, going from $15,000 to $3,495. The second big news is that it will now be a much more accessible system for editors, as it has been completely restructured with this goal in mind. <\/p>\n

In this way, Smoke has gone from being a very expensive software, practically inaccessible to some, to being a much more affordable and simple high-level post-production system. According to them, this new restructuring has been done with the intention that Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro users will be able to understand it without spending too much effort. <\/p>\n
