FilmLight<\/a> has released the Baselight ONE “ACCESS” package, a promotion that will run through mid-September and offers Baselight ONE hardware and the latest software version for less than $50,000.<\/p>\n

With this initiative, FilmLight aims to make its high-end color correction and finishing system available to more companies.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Baselight ONE<\/a>, with a 3U rack chassis and 26 TB of storage in RAID 6, is a (hardware) solution that provides the necessary requirements for working with color correction and finishing. It is complemented by software, which offers a complete set of tools for these functions. <\/p>\n

It is based on the same hardware, and incorporates the same features in software, as its companions TWO<\/a>, FOUR and EIGHT<\/a>; and now, thanks to this package, it is much more cost-effective.<\/p>\n

Among its main qualities, we can find an interface with a logical and clear work system, which facilitates new users who want to learn how to use it. Baselight ONE is designed to work with the Blackboard 2<\/a> controller (from FilmLight), although it also supports other third-party controllers, such as Avid Artist Color<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It provides native support for most formats, such as DPX, R3D, ProRes or DNxHD, and several can be mixed in the same timeline. One of its features, “Multi-view display”, allows you to view material from several timelines (from the same or different projects) simultaneously, so that you can quickly make comparisons. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>It can also work with RAW files from digital cameras, with or without additional hardware (for acceleration or decoding) and with OpenEXR, both for input and output.<\/p>\n

As in other color correction systems, such as DaVinci for example, it has a gallery where you can save certain “looks” and apply them within the same project or share them among others.<\/p>\n

For conforming, it supports EDLs (in various formats), AAF and XML.<\/p>\n

In addition to the hardware and software version 4.3, which you can read about in this article<\/a>, the package also includes Truelight<\/a>, FilmLight’s color management system; the first year of technical support; and on-site training.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
