We open a new call for our DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) course and advanced digital film operations for Christmas 2012.<\/p>\n

In these times, we have decided to join our efforts in Roche HD and 709 Media Room to provide a new and high quality training alternative, as a result of the development of our courses.<\/p>\n

After being the pioneers in HD and color correction courses, and with the good name we have achieved with effort and the help of the excellent students we have had, we go a step further in training for professionals in the sector, with a course that is beginning to be in demand and that is not taught “per se” at present in our country: Digital Imaging Technician<\/strong> (DIT)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Actually, the union of our camera and color correction courses in Roche HD, already allowed our students to perform these tasks, and we have the luxury of being able to boast that among the main DITs of this country, are our collaborators and students.<\/p>\n

Now we offer our students our classic summer course, but this time, with a specific day dedicated to the work of the DIT. As always we divide the course in parts, so that the student can choose according to his needs. <\/p>\n

Former students and specialists in any of the modules can take the missing modules independently, and students who are approaching our courses or these technologies for the first time can opt to take the complete DIT course.<\/p>\n

TEACHERS<\/strong>: Rafa Roche, Luis Ochoa, Yoyi Molina and Daniel P\u00e9rez.<\/p>\n

Rafa Roche<\/strong>, cinematographer specializing in digital cinema and stereoscopy is one of the leading figures in digital cinema in Spain. He is a member of the AEC and ACTV, Independent certified Expert of Sony and partner of Ars Stereoscopica. His more than 20 years of experience in the industry and the last 10 years working as a director of photography have led him to work in feature films, documentaries, television and advertising and to be one of the gurus of digital photography in Spain. A great communicator, he has developed his teaching skills in numerous centers and courses nationwide and through his own training project, Roche HD. <\/p>\n

Luis Ochoa<\/strong> is a colorist, post-producer and director of photography (junior). In recent years he has worked as a colorist in London, color grading projects for the LFS<\/a>, and in Spain color grading feature films (Cecilia y Juan), documentaries (Por la gracia de Luis) or television (Tierra de Lobos). He has coordinated the post-production of numerous projects for the company Avid Technology and holds the ACI (Avid Certified Instructor) certification. <\/p>\n

Yoyi Molina <\/strong>has been active in the audiovisual industry since the late 90’s as an advertising director, special effects technician, colorist, director of photography and technical advisor. As a director he has made commercials for clients such as Ubisoft, Loewe or the Spanish Army and numerous music videos for artists such as Amparanoia or Ariel Rot. As technical head of post-production and special effects he has recently made the series “Herederos” and “Fuera de Lugar” (TVE\/Cuarzo), the film “El Frasco”, the documentary “GITANOS DE BUENOS AIRES” (TVE\/Continental) and the award-winning sci-fi short film “C\u00cdCLOPE” (Ignoto Planet). He has also worked as a color corrector with DaVinci Resolve in the second season of “Tierra de lobos”, shot with Arri Alexa. <\/p>\n

Daniel P\u00e9rez-Llebot <\/strong>supervisor of post-production, visual effects and digital services on set. Graduated in systems engineering, he has worked as 3D animator, visual compositor (in Flame, Avid DS, Nuke systems among others) or colorist (telecine, Scratch…) for companies like Softimage, Assimilate, Cinecolor … Having worked in Buenos Aires, Caracas, Miami, New York and many other places in Latin America, Daniel P\u00e9rez opened a new company in Madrid a little over a year ago dedicated to the rental of equipment and Digital Lab services on set: WhyOnSet. <\/p>\n

In the event that the regular teachers are not available during the dates of the course, they will be replaced by others of the same level and professional experience.<\/p>\n

DURATION<\/strong>: The complete course consists of 80 hours in 10 days. The student can choose to take the whole course or only the modules that interest him\/her. <\/p>\n

PRICE<\/strong>: Full course: 1800\u20ac + VAT (1600\u20ac + VAT if you book before November 9th). You can see the rest of the available discounts here<\/a> (not cumulative between them). Discounts will be applied to the taxable base (cost of the course or module) before adding VAT. <\/p>\n

Upon payment of the course, the student will receive an invoice with a VAT breakdown, which can be deducted if the student is a company or self-employed.<\/p>\n

RESERVATION<\/strong>: To reserve a place, the student must send us the completed student form and proof of payment of the reservation fee (300\u20ac for the complete course and 100\u20ac for each of the modules taken independently). After the reservation, the total amount of the course or module must be paid before December 1st.<\/p>\n

WHEN<\/strong>: The complete course consists of 10 days of 8 hours each. From the 10th to the 21st of December. Daily schedule: from 10 am to 2 pm and from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm (times may vary slightly). <\/p>\n

WHERE<\/strong>: Post-production classes will be held at Ondas Formaci\u00f3n,<\/a> where each student will have a personal professional Apple station. In the practices with cameras and DIT stations the training will take place in the Elfo Set of Laya Producciones<\/a>. With more than 150m\u00b2 on the set, all the technical measurements and tests will be carried out. We will have lighting, air conditioning, measurement charts and all the necessary material to perform the practices and concentrate on the world of digital cameras. <\/p>\n

Since the first courses we have taught, we have found a lack of “base” when dealing with the contents. This part of the courses is highly valued by the students as it establishes the theoretical knowledge about those terms that we may already know and even use in our daily work but we do not know exactly what they refer to or what consequences they have on the final image. Being basic concepts, they are used throughout the course and therefore, it is common to all modules. <\/p>\n
