Apparently with all the hype surrounding the NY launch of the new version of Pro Tools 10, Avid’s press releases have been misplaced and an article with the new features of MC 6 has been leaked.<\/p>\n

Whether or not it was an unintentional leak, the truth is that it is promising. Some of the features had already been announced (example in this video<\/a>) such as support for the Artist Color color correction driver, 64b software rewrite, stereoscopic tools, support for more third party hardware I\/O (Aja, Blackmagic, Matrox, ect) or the AMA with AVCHD codecs. <\/p>\n

But others were still to be confirmed: DNXHD 444, support for Epic, more customizable interface or audio mixing in 7.1 and some of them seem to be still in reverie for the moment, such as the increase of resolution at least to 4K or the improvement of the color corrector (well, finally release the Symphony corrector that we all know that the MC has inside).<\/p>\n

In any case it looks good, and who knows if Avid won’t get their act together at the last minute and give us a final surprise \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
