Once again SGO and Canon bring us 3DDay, a space where you can learn and share knowledge with professionals in the film industry.
The 21st edition of 3DDay will focus mainly on new VR (virtual reality) and HDR (high dynamic range) technologies.
The event will start at 15:45, and after the relevant introductions and a time dedicated to Canon, we will listen to Sergio Ochoa and Joséphine Derobe, the two speakers in charge this year of sharing their wisdom and experience.
In addition, Tommie Ferreras (director of photography at AEC) and Luis Ochoa (colorist and director of 709 Media Room) will explain the HDR shooting and post-production workflows. To do this, they will use example materials shot with the Canon C700 in exteriors and interiors that will serve to understand different HDR standards (PQ, HLG). We will also learn how to expose, visualize and color grade these images, using the DPV2010 HDR monitor and Mistika software.
The event will take place next Thursday, December 1st, at the Academia de Cine (Calle Zurbano 3, Madrid). Of course, afterwards there will be the usual party at Moby Dick at 20:30h. During this party, a Wacom and a license of Mamba FX, SGO’s compositing software, will be raffled. From experience I can tell you that these prizes are touching, so don’t miss it! ☺
