Adobe has announced its new project, productions, which will be coming soon to Premiere. Adobe’s new release is intended for the management and administration of Adobe Premiere projects in both collaborative and individual mode .
Productions is mainly intended for large projects where several people are involved and where content management can become more complicated. Being able to work as a team is essential when you are faced with editing a project with several reels, and that is why Adobe has decided to create Productions. With this new tool you can split your project into smaller pieces without giving up the content of other pieces that make up that project. It looks like a panel with which the owner can grant different licenses for access to the content to different users.
This frees up a lot of space, since in order to access previously ingested contents, it is not necessary to ingest them again in a new reel or episode, it is enough to recover them from the root project. It is possible to have control over the use of a certain file, for example. Whoever has access to Productions, has access to the preview of the files that other users have generated.
Projects that have content stored on local disks or those that have it in the cloud will also be able to work with Productions, as both are compatible. In the same way, if changes are made in Productions, they are directly reflected in Premiere Pro and vice versa. If you change anything content-related in the project, it appears modified on disk.
At the moment there is no exact release date, although it will most likely be included with the next update of Adobe Premiere Pro.
