New version RealFlow | Cinema 4D

This new version of RealFlow | Cinema 4D provides more possibilities, flexibility and control, with a lot of new features added, not to mention a lot of fixes for previous bugs. This is a free update for 2.0 users. Plus 1.0 users get a 25% discount when they upgrade.

RealFlow | Cinema 4D offers the best in fluid simulation directly within Cinema 4D. Now you can achieve high-end simulations with an even easier workflow.

Vertex Map Approach

With this update, you now have a wider choice and we have added vorticity, age and weight maps. In previous versions, you had to deal with an abstract parameter “Scale”. Instead of guessing a value, it is now possible to adjust velocity, age and vorticity precisely through → ranges, or let RealFlow | Cinema 4D do the work with the new “Auto” mode.

You can now evaluate changes in the Cinema 4D viewport as you used to do with native Cinema 4D vertex maps. This means you no longer have to create preview renders to see the result of your settings.

Visualizer

The new Cinema 4D Visualizer is able to make forces visible and even show how they evolve and change over time. You now have full control over daemons and instant visual feedback. You can choose between arrows, lines and points, and you can also display these modes as streamlets. Streamlets track forces over a short period of time and this results in a curved view of the force, which gives you a sense of direction. One of the most interesting features is that the Visualizer also displays the combined result of multiple daemons. You can decide which daemons should be displayed together with a simple drag and drop.

Time Offsets

Another very important new feature is the introduction of time offsets for cached fluids. Until now it has not been possible to change the start and end frames of particle and mesh sequences, for example, if you want to synchronize them with other animated elements in your scene. In many cases, it was necessary to rename batch files or do other sophisticated things. But those days are over now.

These are just some of its new features. You can find more information about what’s new in this plug-in here.
