Once again we have updated the codec table that we have had available for some time in the“Downloads” section. This table, developed by Luis Ochoa, contains detailed information on the vast majority of codecs currently used in the audiovisual sector.
Despite the heading of this post, the codecs included range from SD resolutions up to 4K, including of course a wide variety of codecs used only in HD.
Within the table you will see that there is a subdivision of all these codecs, depending on whether they are aimed at capture, postproduction or mastering, although with the advance of cameras and systems it is now possible to find some of them within different categories.
To download the table you need to go to our“Downloads” section, where you will also find other documents on technical topics, free LUTs and you can download files captured with most of the current professional cameras to perform your own tests.
