DaVinci Resolve available for Linux

The well-known company Blackmagic Design has released several new products that we will be telling you about this week, including Linux versions of DaVinci Resolve and DaVinci Resolve Studio color correction software.

Until now, the only way to use Linux and DaVinci was with a special version for customers with the professional controller. Now, all users with Red Hat Linux systems and CentOS 6.8 or 7.2 will be able to work with it without any problems by simply downloading a program. In this way, opening up a new platform makes it much easier for colorists to work on high-performance workstations at an affordable price.

As with the Windows and Mac versions, the Linux version can also be downloaded free of charge from the Blackmagic website, or the full version can be purchased from any reseller for $995.

This would be version 12.5.5.5 and you can download it through this link. It includes some new features related to the releases of the company, such as support for DaVinci Resolve Mini and Micro Panel controllers or for the 4.6K material of the URSA Mini Pro.
