Sony is also at NAB presenting its new solutions, especially aimed at HDR production.
New HDR-capable cameras include the HDC-4800, HDC-4300 and HDC P43 for 4K and live HD. In addition, the FS5 and Z150, entry-level XDCAM camcorders, will support HLG and S-Log3 through a simple software update.
Sony is also showing off its RAW and X-OCN recording formats, the latter an optimized format that balances quality and data size, and whose name stands for “eXtended Tonal Range Original Camera Negative”.
Finally, the 2.3 software update for the PWS-4500, which enables XAVC recording to optimize the recording of HDR content.
And of course, let’s not forget the two previously announced HDR monitors, the BVM-X300 and PVM-X550.
