Apple has updated its Final Cut Pro editing system, improving overall performance and stability, fixing some bugs and including new features.
Highlights have been support for XAVC-L (Sony) and AVC-Intra 4:4:4:4 (Panasonic) files up to 4K resolution, import of Canon XF-AVC 8-bit video clips, using the Canon plugin, and export of interlaced H.264.
The rest of the improvements are aimed at the general operation of the system:
- Fixed rendering errors that could occur when using reflective materials with 3D text.
- Fixed render bug that caused 3D text to appear in black.
- Improved stability during the exchange of materials in 3D texts with published parameters.
- Improved performance when loading text styles.
- Correct export of Motion Title templates with published text layout parameters.
- Fixed problems with the synchronization of some animated effects.
Compressor has also gained support for exporting in interlaced H.264, and both Compressor and Motion have had some bugs fixed.
