DaVinci Resolve Update 12.3

Blackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve version 12.3, for the free and Studio version, with new features for users using both Mac and Windows.

Those who are used to working on Windows operating systems will now be able to decode HEVC/H.265 files in QuickTime.

An important bug has been fixed, and that is the system stability when opening CinemaDNG files generated by other devices than Blackmagic cameras. This bug especially affected users of the Odyssey recorder, when capturing RAW from the Sony FS7 and FS700.

Other improvements include:

  • Ability to add different storage locations without the need to restart the program.
  • Tape name reading for OpenEXR material.
  • Sony MPEG2 file decoding.
  • Improved ARRI RAW support.
  • General performance improvements.
