Telestream launches Episode 7.1

Telestream has updated its Episode transcoding software, adding new formats and improving speed in version 7.1.

In order to accommodate current workflows, native 4K video support has been added, along with a set of presets for that resolution. In addition, for both encoding and transcoding, JPEG2000, DNxHD, DNxHR and DVCProHD codecs are now supported.

Episode users will be happy to know that it is now possible to add a storage device directly from the software interface itself, compared to previous versions that required the use of the command line.

Another new feature is the improvement in overall performance and speed thanks to the use of 64-bit technology.

Finally, there is a newAudio Channel Configurator, which provides flexibility to map channels into standard input/output formats or customized for each encoding.
