At the end of November, The Foundry announced a major update to Nuke, its globally used compositing and visual effects system, which with version 10 improves performance and stability, and adds new paint, render, playback and export features.
A couple of months ago they released the beta of Nuke 10, NukeX 10 and Nuke Studio 10 in order to get feedback from users, asking them to focus on certain tools.
Therefore, it has now been revamped with the following features:
- Performance has been improved for transcoding from DPX files to Apple ProRes 4444 and ProRes 422.
- The“RayRender” node has been added.
- Audio scrubbing is now possible in the Nuke Studio timeline.
This beta 10 update is available to all Nuke users with active maintenance. More detailed information about the new features can be found in this post from November and this one from January.
