Nvidia releases four new Quadro models

Nvidia has expanded its line of Quadro graphics cards with new models for professional workstations. The new K4000, K2000, K2000D and K600 join the K5000, the top-of-the-line card launched last year.

Its processing capacity thanks to the integrated “Kepler” architecture ensures unique power. They feature Nvidia’s next-generation streaming multiprocessor (SMX), which provides up to 50% more display performance and twice the computing power.

They also feature larger and faster GPU memory that enables designers and animators to work with larger models and richer scenes while maintaining interactivity and fluidity in design, visualization and simulation. And they offer not only higher performance for the same price as the previous generation, but also lower power consumption.

In addition, they support NVIDIA FXAA (fast approximate anti-aliasing) and NVIDIA TXAA (temporal anti-aliasing) technologies, which create more polished and realistic images that approach cinematic quality; and can output up to four monitors from a single card.

Quadro-K4000

Quadro K4000

It is a high-end card that offers high performance for graphics-intensive applications and is targeted at media and entertainment.

It has 3GB of internal memory, 768 CUDA cores and a memory bandwidth of 134GB/s for a performance of 1,246 TFLOPS. In addition, multi-monitor support and stereoscopic playback functions, in a single-slot configuration.

It is priced at $1,269 (the K5000 costs $2,249).

Quadro_K2000D

Quadro K2000

It is a mid-range card that comes with 2GB of internal memory to support large models, half the bandwidth and half the CUDA cores of the previous model. It also includes multi-monitor support for increased desktop space and productivity.

It is priced at $599.

Quadro K2000D

It is a variant of the K2000, with native support for two Dual-Link DVI display connectors for an interface with ultra-high resolution, and aimed at medical image display.

It is priced at $599.

Quadro_K600

Quadro K600

It is an entry level card with 1GB of internal memory, 192 CUDA cores and a bandwidth of 29GB/s. It comes with a low design profile for use in smaller chassis, and is certified for some professional applications such as Maya and 3ds Max.

It is priced at $199.
