Quantel has just revamped its Pablo Rio system software, increasing performance and adding new tools.
This update fully unleashes the power of its multi-GPU architecture. If we equip it with three Tesla K20 GPUs, from Nvidia, we will be able to obtain more than 20 layers of color correction, in full 4K resolution, in real time; or around 50 layers working at 2K, a performance that according to Quantel is unique in the market today.
Couple this with the integration with AJA Corvid Ultra, already announced at NAB, and you can enjoy real-time delivery while working on or monitoring 4K 60p material.
According to the company the new software offers “simply phenomenal” performance, while adding new features to the color and finishing toolset. Support for Apple ProRes codecs has been included, and it is now possible to play back Sony F65 camera files in real time.
The “mocha planar tracker” tool has also been improved and the VisLM audio measurement plug-in from NUGEN Audio has been made compatible.
Pablo Rio version 2.0 rev3 is now available and is a free upgrade for existing users. We remind you that Pablo Rio will be shown on June 24th and 25th, or 27th and 28th in Madrid and Barcelona, respectively, during Quantel’s European Roadshow. Here you have more information.
