Luis Ochoa, new Sony ICE

I am happy! Thanks to the recommendation of my friend Tom Crocker, a product specialist at Sony, the company has certified me as a Sony ICE (Independent Certified Expert).

And what is an ICE? Well, as the name suggests, they are independent professionals who, without working for Sony, are certified as experts in certain of its products. In my case workflows of the CineAlta camera range.

This means that I will have access to training and documentation so that I can soak up everything about these cameras and their (multiple) codecs in order to develop the best post production and color workflow combinations. Also doing training and demos for the company. I hope this will further improve the training we provide!

At the moment I’ll be making my debut at this year’s IBC, I’m still not sure what exact products will be there but I imagine I’ll be giving postpro support and doing demos (in English, so I’ll have to drink a couple of pints before each demo to improve my level 🙂
