New Eyeon Production Pipeline software

Eyeon Software has announced the launch of EPP (Eyeon Production Pipeline), its latest solution to increase efficiency and productivity in VFX workflows.

The goal of this new tool is that users no longer have to learn specific naming conventions and file storage in order to access blueprints and other VFX assets related to a project.

In addition to a series of Pyhton scripts that manage the file system, EPP presents specific settings via XML, which can be easily edited and copied or shared to other machines and installations. Because it operates under a new NewBSD license, it is possible for each user to make their own modifications, although this can also be done without programming knowledge through XML file configuration.

Eyeon Production Pipeline is a working tool that provides functions to manage folder structures for projects, blueprints and data; and is capable of saving locations, names, formats, preferences, etc. It is available as a binary installer or in source code form as Python scripts hosted on GitHub.

One of the key qualities of EPP is its ability to integrate with Generation software (also from Eyeon Software) for VFX review and management. In addition, this has been updated to version 3.1 and includes new features. Among its outstanding features we can find HFR playback at 120fps and 4K Stereo; a direct connection to Fusion; event scheduling for multiple pipelines (Adobe, Autodesk, The Foundry, Maxon, Side Effects…; being fully modifiable (Python and LUA); support for the Tangent Wave controller; extended stereoscopic features and remodeled EDLs workflow.
