During AJA’s NAB presentations, the company introduced two new products that join the Ki Pro family of recording devices: Quad and Pro Rack.

Ki Pro Quad is a new recorder capable of capturing in resolutions such as 4K (4096 x 2160), Quad HD (3840 x 2160), 2K (2048 x 1080) and HD (1920 x 1080), with 4:4:4 or 4:2:2:2 color support in 10 bit.

It also accepts 4K RAW output via SDI, and this same data can be distributed simultaneously via Thunderbolt. In addition, it allows debayering to record files in Apple ProRes (on SSD disks), or for real-time monitoring at 4K.

Files can be monitored in 4K, 2K or HD via SDI or HDMI connections.

It will be available a little later (but in 2012) for $3,995. Here you can see all its features.

The second new product in this family is Ki Pro Rack, which offers recording and playback in formats that facilitate subsequent transfer to editing systems, such as Apple ProRes (422) or Avid DNxHD.

It can also convert to other codecs and its connections are HD/SD SDI, HDMI and HD/SD for analog video input and output.

It is now available and also costs $3,995. All the information is on this page.

AJA also revamped its Ki Pro Mini product, updating the firmware and adding support for Avid DNxHD, so it will now be easier to integrate with Avid systems.

Finally, at NAB they announced a new product called AJA T-TAP. It is a very small device that, taking advantage of Thunderbolt connectivity, offers SD, HD and 2K output. It does so in 10-bit at 4:2:2 and via SDI and HDMI.

It can also carry 8 channels of embedded audio and it is possible to review s3D materials, via HDMI, without the need for additional hardware.

You can check out all the features on their website.
