We announce a new course in our catalog: Smoke 2013 course for operators of previous versions. If you have worked with Autodesk Smoke 2012 on Mac OS X, you may have asked yourself the following questions when testing the new 2013 version:
1-How do I create an edl, xml, or aaf?
2-How are the files imported?
3-How do I bring material from projects already started or from other seasons?
3-How do I organize the material now? Where are my bookshelves?
4- Where is now the EditDesk Library, the Source Area, the Record Area?
5- Do I have a tools menu as in any Apple program?
6-What is the way to edit now? The timeline has changed, one green, one red. I have 2 viewers, before I used to have 1. Where is the Ripple?
7-Where are the effect buttons: Action, Color Corrector, Text, Paint,…?
8-What is this Connect Fx and how does it work in Batch?
The Smoke 2013 Mac OS X version includes a radical interface change. If you have worked with previous versions, you may get the feeling that you are dealing with a completely new program.
The intention of this course is to show how to adapt our way of working from Smoke 2012 to the 2013 version. Discover the new interface while going through the work process from the beginning (Import of material) to the end (Export of material).
