A couple of good news for DaVinci Resolve users (myself included): the first is that, as promised, version 8.2, which supports Windows, has been available for a few days now, until now version 8.2 was in beta.
The second is that on this version 8.2 on both PC and Mac from now on will be available the new Tangent Element, standard modular controller that promises to be a joy for many colorists. It seems that Blackmagic does not care about selling its own controller (11ooo¢ against the 3500€ of the Tangent) but only the video cards that the software needs to be able to give full screen.
Let’s hope Blackmagic doesn’t act like Apple (also a hardware manufacturer, not a software company) by standardizing the software (by dumping the price) and then discontinuing it in a few years.
In the meantime here you can download the free version of DaVinci Resolve Lite 8.2 for Mac and PC
