New Boris Red 5 version for Avid, FCP and AE

Recently the latest version (number 5) of the popular Boris Red plug-in and filter package has been released. Although I’m not particularly fond of “pre-made” effects, I recognize that for certain jobs they can be practical. Boris Red integrates into the popular editing and compositing programs Avid Media Composer, FCP and After Effects, opening a window within the software itself for editing effects, so that editors or compositors do not have to learn any new interface but continue to use that of the container program.

It is also particularly recommended for Avid editors, since Boris Red includes quite a few video filters, which as you know are scarce in Avid natively. Color correctors and blur effects are also included.
