In the following video tutorial you will learn how to create a simple animated title using only After Effects tools, without the need for any third-party plugins.
The effect uses multiple layers displaced in time that reveal the letters with different colors. You can see that in the video several shades of the same color are used, but you can always experiment with totally opposite colors.
