Angénieux introduces new Optimo Ultra 12x S35 lens

The French photographic and cinematographic lens company, Angenieuxhas introduced its new cinema lens, the new Optimo Ultra 12x S35. Optimo Ultra 12x S35.

This lens shows how Agenieux has taken into account the trend in the market by developing modular designs. In this way, the company has developed a lens that eliminates the adapters to which we have become so accustomed, adapting the lens to both the camera and the sensor being used at any given moment.

The Optimo Ultra 12x S35 is based on the Optimo 24-290, which is very common in film productions from 2001 onwards. And it features IRO technology, developed by the company itself, thanks to which the rear part of the lens can be changed, thus adapting to different sensor sizes, and can be configured in three different formats, Super 35, U 35 and Full Frame.

The Optimo Ultra 12x comes with the PL mount lens, with a sub-mount system so that it can be equipped with various mount options. Each set part will be numbered with a serial number to avoid confusion between components.
