ARRI introduces a new matte box

ARRI has introduced a new accessory to its product line, the Lightweight Matte Box LMB 4×5. It is a modular matte box that extends the capabilities of its companion, the LMB-25.

It features a single filter configuration that allows it to be adapted to gimbals, drones, Steadicams or even rod mounts. In addition, it is compatible with LMB-5, 15 and 25 accessories.

It comes with many virtues inherited from previous products, such as tilt capability or oscillating modules, and also adds other improvements such as an additional filter stage in two versions, a tilt and flex adapter, and folding flags that facilitate storage without having to disassemble them.

Shipments of the new matte box are expected to begin in July 2017.
