ARRI releases accessories for the Sony F5 and F55

ARRI has added to its “Pro Camera Accesories” line of accessories some products for Sony’s recently released F5 and F55 cameras.

With them, the German company continues to bring to market professional and quality accessories for the latest DSLRs and digital cameras. Now, these two Sony cameras are fully compatible with ARRI support systems and industry-standard Matte Box and Follow Focus.

Base Plate

This base has been specifically designed for the F5 and F55 cameras, allowing compatibility with standard lightweight mounts. It includes a hot shoe called “Touch and Go 35” that facilitates quick and secure mounting of the camera to a head or similar (e.g. for shoulder-mounted camera shots).

On the sides there are two rosettes for connecting handles and other extensions. For studio setups, this shoe also accepts cymbals such as ARRI’s BP-8 or BP-9 (Bridge Plates).

Top Plate

The top plate offers multiple interfaces for mounting accessories. An ARRI grip can be attached in three different positions to optimize balancing, although the Sony original is still compatible. It can also be used for steadicam shots and it is possible to incorporate an adapter for 15mm rod holders in the central part, optically centered to the camera.

Viewfinder Adapter

This VFA-1 scope adapter allows the mounting of Sony scopes for 3/8-16″ interfaces.

Shoulder Pad

This is a shoulder mount with pad that mounts to the bottom of the camera by means of a threaded screw and can be used independently of the base. When used in conjunction with it, it can remain in the same place even if the camera is attached to the head thanks to a base attached to the “Touch and Go” system.
