Assimilate introduces Scratch v8

Scratch version 8 is on its way, according to Assimilate‘s recent press release. It seems that the company is betting on collective work based on the cloud (in the same way that other companies such as Adobe did with Creative Cloud) and has developed its tools in this way.

The new remote capabilities allow collaboration between users in the fields of color correction, compositing and editing, even working simultaneously. In this video you can see a little more of Scratch 8 Collective:

Scratch v8

Scratch Repository

Offers an easy way to collaborate and share projects with anyone, allowing simultaneous work from anywhere in the world.

Scratch Publish

To publish a part of your project in a secure and controlled environment so that other users can access the material from their computers or mobile devices.

Scratch Remote

It allows the session control to pass from one user to another at any time, reflecting the actions of each of them with identifying colors. Thanks to this tool we can work on color correction, editing or compositing remotely, since it is not necessary for the original media to be in local storage, but it works through proxies.

Scratch CONect

Stores user profiles in a cloud-based service, allowing you to save looks and settings outside of the local database for use in another project.

If you are interested in learning more about Scratch tools you can’t miss the next Assimilate Scratch course: color correction for DIT and finishing. It will be held on November 23rd and 24th, here you have all the information.
