Assimilate offers yearly subscription for Scratch and Scratch Lab

Assimilate has just expanded the license rental options proposed at the end of last year for its Scratch and Scratch Lab systems. While these consisted of one-day, one-week, one-month or three-month licenses, they have now opted for an annual subscription to meet the needs of their users and facilitate changing workflows.

In case you are not yet familiar with these systems, Scratch has a set of tools for dailies creation, conforming, editing, color correction, titling, 3D compositing and finishing; while Scratch Lab is somewhat more limited, being intended for dailies work and capable of reviewing material up to 5K, with tools for metadata and LUTs management, advanced audio synchronization and rendering.

Thanks to this change, Scratch and Scratch Lab users will be able to have the full versions of both for an affordable price and gain the flexibility of not being “tied” to one software permanently.

Anyone who has a subscription will have all the updates that are released (during that period of time), support and maintenance. In the event that the license expires, Scratch will become inactive immediately, but all data and projects will remain intact so that they can be accessed once the license is renewed.

Of course, permanent and large company licenses are still in place and, in addition, it is now possible to transfer from one type to another (in either direction); as well as to purchase multi-year licenses (by contacting sales@assimilateinc.com) or even get an option for unlimited annual subscriptions at various locations (for $55,000 per year for Scratch and $20,000 for Scratch Lab).

From here you can purchase any of the Scratch options and from this link you can purchase the Scratch Lab options. It is also possible to download a free trial of both through this page.
