We open a new edition of our color correction course for DIT and finishing with Assimilate Scratch.
One of the most widely used color correction systems worldwide is Scratch. It is famous both in its Lab variant used on set by digital image technicians (DITs) and in postproduction.
In this Assimilate Scratch course you will see the color correction tools of the full version in two different workflows: dailies creation and set work, the work carried out by the DITs and “traditional” conforming and color correction at the end of the post-production process. In addition, there will be an introduction to the compositing tools that Scratch contains.
TEACHER: Javier Urosas
He studied photography in Madrid, showing a special interest in the nature of shadow and the laboratory. For ten years he worked at Tele 5, going through all the post-production processes (editing, montage and composition) while combining this activity with advertising and fashion photography. Shortly after, he entered the world of 3D, working as a technical director on various continuity projects, such as those of Tele 5 and, above all, Canal +. His move into filmmaking arose from his need to tell stories and once again provided him with a link to photography. He has won awards at different festivals (El Sol, Laus, C de C, Fiap…) and is developing different fiction projects for the USA and Latin America.
You can see his reel here and his website here.
