NAB is just a few days away and companies are starting to present important news. Assimilate, for its part, does so with version 8 of Scratch and Scratch Lab.
These are the features they have announced:
ProRes encoding on Windows
Finally, Windows users will be able to enjoy native support for the ProRes family of codecs (4444, 422, HQ, LT and proxy) through a license from Apple.
Multi-gpu debayering for RED archives
With the new version it is possible to debayer files from RED cameras in real time (except for Epic Dragon) and at full resolution, using only GPUs.
Support for DeckLink
Thanks to the Blackmagic products now supported by Scratch, the DeckLink 4K Extreme and UltraStudio 4K (for Thunderbolt devices), 4K monitoring is possible via SDI or HDMI connections.
MyASSIMILATE
New tools called “MyASSIMILATE” allow users to connect to the cloud and facilitate remote workflows. They are free of charge for existing customers who now have support and maintenance.
- Project Repository: This is a project shared by multiple users, where each one can work whenever and wherever he/she wants.
- Sratch Web: To review projects remotely through the cloud, without the need to have Scratch installed on the computer from which it is accessed.
- Remote: With this tool you can connect two or more Scratch and Scratch Lab users to work together in real time in the same remote session.
- Galleries: Thanks to the galleries you will be able to take your work everywhere.
