The Australian company, Atomos, has introduced its new Sumo 19M.
In the words of Jeromy Young, CEO of Atomos, “We have leveraged our technical know-how and production techniques to make the Sumo 19M a product priced well below any monitor with similar features. Now anyone can have a high brightness and HDR monitor, not just high budget productions.”
One of the aspects on which the company’s policy has always focused has been to consolidate and improve the existing technology in its products with the aim of improving their performance.
In this way, Atomos has taken advantage of the IBC to present a product in which it has shown the support that the company offers to its products.
It is a new 19-inch HDR monitor that has moved away from the recording capabilities previously offered by the company’s monitors, being intended only for those who only want to use it as a reference monitor.
In terms of features, this monitor has a 1920×1080 IPS display capable of 4K and HD playback. It also features the company’s in-house developed AtomHDR engine for easy and accurate monitoring, as well as a number of factory-specific gamma Log settings and multiple custom settings.
On the other hand, it allows the storage and playback of multiple LUTs. Through this monitor it is possible to monitor the signal through zebras, false colors, vectorscopes, waveforms, etc.

The Sumo19M monitor will be available at the end of September for a price of 1995$, excluding VAT.
