Authority FX, a professional visual effects design studio, has released a collection of individual plug-ins. These plug-ins, intended for compositing systems, are not marketed as a suite, but are purchased separately.

Chroma Key
The Chroma Key has the ability to do an “intelligent” analysis of any chroma to give good results without you having to bother to even “click”. This tool is known by its manufacturers and users as “no-click” keying; and thanks to its calculation and some custom settings you can get a very good chroma extraction.
In addition to some “matte” and “spill” controls for greater accuracy, it includes 5 matte inputs (garbage, spill, sreen or ignore).
Glow
Allows you to generate a glow with realistic blurring. The default setting tends to work quite well on almost all shots, leaving the center bright and a soft blur around it.
Lens Glow
Simulates chromatic aberration and other phenomena arising from asymmetric lenses by approximating the way light bounces off the inside of a lens.
It includes adjustable parameters, such as separate X/Y scale, chromatic aberration, size and smoothing.
Defocus
It is an extremely fast blur filter. As in the previous plugins, it has fully customizable controls, such as “Blade count”, “Iris sharpe” or “Blade rotation”.
Z Defocus
This is a Depth Map driven defocus – z for realistic approximations in depth of field. With the same iris controls available in the Defocus plugin you can easily control the focus point and depth of field.
Desaturate
It has several modes for desaturating an image (CIELAB L, HSI Intensity, HSL Lightness, HSV Value, Luma and Custom Color). Each of them includes “Desaturate”, “Gain”, “Lift” and “Range” sliders for fine-tuning.
Clamp
Very useful for those who work with floating point images. After a sharpening operation, you can end up with negative values. You will have to clamp them together before alpha splitting or any other filter. Includes “RGB Clamp”, “Alpha Clamp”, Lightness, Luma, RGB, Value algorithms.
Soft Clip
For those times when the image is slightly overdone in the highlights. Use a non-linear gain setting to gently limit this excess of highlights.

All these plugins are compatible with After Effects (CS5 and CS6) and Eyeon Fusion; both for Windows (64bit). They are planned to support After Effects on Mac and Nuke, although the timing will depend on user demand.
