Avid Artist Color color correction controller

A few months ago Avid bought Euphonix, responsible for audio and video hardware controllers. Since then Protools users have benefited from a new range of products to remote their software.

For colorists Avid has continued the development of the Euphonix MC Color controller (now called Avid Artist Color). Its low price (around $1500) positions it as an alternative to the famous Tangent Wave.

Currently with the Avid Artist Color you can remote Apple Color, Smoke for Mac, Storm and Redcine X. Also at the last NAB it has been announced that they will support Scratch, Nucodaand Baselight on FCP. You can read the press release here.

Unfortunately, however, due to the software architecture, this controller is not available for Avid’s own software(MC, Symphony or DS), which is a bit paradoxical.
