It’s been almost eight years since 709 Media Room saw the light of day. Since then we have been very concerned about one thing: doing things right. We don’t do everything. We do it right.
From the beginning we specialized in high level color and digital film training and we continue to be a reference today throughout the Spanish-speaking world. With effort and hard work we have developed pioneering courses and training in this country, filling the “gaps” of many technicians in the industry.
We have always been working professionals who combine their work in the industry with training, and today we are taking an important step in this direction.
Thanks to my freelance work I have been lucky enough to visit postproduction and color rooms around the world, and realize what is important from an artistic and technical point of view when facing one of the most important steps in the audiovisual process: color. That learning is now put into practice in a new step of our project.
The Contraluz hallin the Jerónimos neighborhood of Madrid. We offer professional services such as color grading or color management and workflow consulting.
Contraluz has 50m2 dedicated exclusively to the art and science of audiovisual color: Monitor grade 1, digital cinema projection on 4 meter screen, 4K, HDR with PQ (2084) and HLG viewing systems, calibration by Lightspace CMS, ACES color management and all the necessary acronyms to carry out the technically and artistically perfect color process of your production, from before shooting to the delivery of final materials.
Fan Yang’s work on the artistic design of the room is noteworthy.
