Baselight Editions v5 is now available for Avid and NUKE.
If you purchased Baselight editions on or after January 1, 2018, you have access to a free upgrade. If you purchased Baselight editions before this date, you will have to pay for the upgrade. In both cases, you will need to click the Upgrade to v5 button and enter your serial number for verification.
The free license allows Baselight editions to be used free of charge, so you can pass ratings to other installations where they can be read and processed accurately, without purchasing a license. The free license does not need to be activated and can be combined with floating licenses for a low-cost solution, and only obtain a full license when needed.
To see what’s new and what’s new in each version, you can consult the relevant links, both from Avid and NUKE.
Licensing options
On the other hand, the 30-day trial version gives you access to a fully functional, node-locked product for 30 days. Buying allows you to have full and permanent licenses, either node-locked or floating. Finally, there is also the freelancer option for node-locked licenses, which allows you to activate a license for a limited time, making it easy to move the license to a new system when you finish a job.
