After a big news like Adobe’ s (if you still don’t know what I’m talking about you can read about it here) always come the companies that want to be up to date with the latest user needs.

This is the case of Bluefish444, manufacturer of uncompressed SDI video cards for 4K, 2K, HD and SD workflows. Just two days after Adobe moved its entire suite to Creative Cloud, Bluefish444 has announced support for this platform, including a Windows driver for Premiere Pro CC editing software.

Premiere Pro CC

This driver makes it possible to view 4K SDI from Premiere Pro thanks to the Epoch 4K Supernova cards and through the Adobe Mercury Transmit plug-in (which now supports these cards). The new 4K SDI functionality joins the existing 2K, HD and SD workflows already provided by the Create and Epoch range of cards, and includes the following features:

  • HD-SDI outputs in 4K, 2K, HD and SD on a single video card.
  • Digital cinema standard 4096×2160, 23 to 30fps, 4:2:2 YUV, 8 or 10-bit HD-SDI.
  • QFHD 3840×2160, 23 to 30fps, 4:2:2 YUV, 8 or 10-bit HD-SDI.
  • Advanced settings allow a maximum of 4096×2160 at 60 fps, in 4:2:2 YUV, at 8 or 10 bit, HD-SDI.
  • 4 levels of A&B 3G BNC outputs.

In addition to the collaboration between Adobe and Bluefish444, Sony has also done its part to test 4K footage at 60fps on the PVM-x300 monitor .

The Windows driver for Premiere Pro will be available for free from the Bluefish444 website in Q2 2013.
